Yardline is an independent offline golf companion for iPhone. We built it for players who want live multiplayer scoring, purposeful practice, and statistics from real rounds — without accounts, ads, or clutter.
Inside the app you run formats in Round Room, train on Skill Fairway, study Caddie Notes, review Scorecard Vault, and manage clubs in Bag Locker. Your rounds, drills, bookmarks, and bag stay on your device.
Yardline is not affiliated with any professional golf tour, course operator, club manufacturer, or governing body. Course weather uses public forecast data when you add coordinates to a preset. Decorative and educational imagery may load from Wikimedia Commons when available.

Yardline is designed around local storage. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not sell your personal information.
This Privacy Policy describes how Yardline (the “Application”) handles information when you use our offline golf companion app. The Application is provided by Elijah Jones (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Contact: appselijahjones@gmail.com, phone +1 (618) 716-3801.
Information We Collect
Yardline does not require an account, sign-up, or login. We do not ask for your email or phone number inside the app to use core features. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
- Player profile details you enter (name, handicap estimate, preferences)
- Round records, hole scores, and side-game settings
- Practice sessions, drills progress, XP, and rank progress
- Bookmarks, quiz results, and reading progress in Caddie Notes
- Club bag setup, course presets, and optional course notes
- Widget / Live Activity snapshots shared via the on-device App Group
- Cached weather snapshots and cached images when those features are used
How We Use Information
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to profile, share, or sell. Scoring, practice, statistics, and bag tools operate using data stored on your device.
Data Storage & Retention
Content remains in the Application’s private storage on your device. There is no cloud sync operated by us. Optional JSON backup and CSV export are initiated by you and shared through the system share sheet (for example AirDrop or Files). Deleting the app removes associated local data from your device.
Optional Network Features
Most of Yardline works fully offline. When you choose to use certain features, the app may make limited network requests:
- Course weather — if a course preset includes coordinates, Yardline may request current conditions from the public Open-Meteo forecast API. Requests include latitude and longitude for that preset only.
- Educational imagery — some articles and legend cards may load publicly available images from Wikimedia Commons when you view that content.
These requests do not send your round history, practice logs, or player profile to those services. If a request fails, the app continues with offline fallbacks where available.
Live Activities & Widgets
If you enable Yardline Live or the home-screen widget, those features use Apple’s system frameworks and an App Group on your device. We do not receive Lock Screen or widget content on our servers.
Children’s Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because personal data is not collected or transmitted to us for accounts or analytics, the app aligns with COPPA and similar standards for general audiences.
Your Control
You can edit profile details, delete rounds and practice logs, reset local data in Settings, or uninstall the Application to remove stored content from your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. The core commitment — local storage, no accounts, no sale of personal data — will not change without clear notice.
